Maybrit Sinot is a Dutch painter and sculptor. She masters a variety of styles, but in all her work she plays with colour, layers and dynamics. Her Urban Graffiti series is inspired by the contrast of apparent chaos and well-known icons she borrows from Western popular culture. Her Liquid Mirror Series is known for its recognizable style and the way Maybrit’s plays with layering, light and movement. In these ever-changing paintings, she evokes the beauty of nature by using light, colour and depth. Her sculptural work is all about shapes, dimensions and interpretation. There are not so many artists who can work so easily next to each other in two styles of painting and who makes besided the paintings also beautiful sculptures. Maybrit does this as if it is her second nature. Sometimes she brings the two styles together as in the work “A secret order” of which we were allowed to make a limited edition with 25LMTD.
